TPLO Surgery

Elands Vets is proud to offer onsite TPLO surgery for dogs at a fixed price of £3,750 (including VAT).

What is TPLO surgery?

TPLO (tibial plateau levelling osteotomy) is an advanced surgical procedure used to treat cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) rupture, the most common orthopaedic cause of hindlimb lameness and subsequent pain in dogs.

Cranial cruciate ligament rupture is a painful process and the ligament cannot usually heal itself.

Surgery is required to reduce pain, restore mobility, and slow the progression of osteoarthritis in the affected joint.

TPLO surgery stabilises the knee (stifle) joint by changing its angle, preventing the lower limb from sliding forward during weight-bearing.

Our TPLO service

Several of our vets offer TPLO surgery as the recommended approach for cruciate ligament disease in dogs, at a fixed price of £3,750 (including VAT).

This includes all standard medications and fluid therapy, as well as a six-week post-operative assessment and x-rays.

If you’ve noticed any changes in your dog’s mobility or are concerned that they may be in pain, please contact our veterinary team on 01732 452333.

We will be happy to examine your dog and, if we diagnose a cruciate ligament rupture, we will discuss whether TPLO surgery could be beneficial for your dog and work with you to develop a suitable treatment plan.
