Karen has been working at Elands, as part of the reception team, since January 2005. Having worked in the city for 17 years, Karen had wanted to do something completely different and her love of animals drew her to Elands.
Karen’s interests include art history, silversmithing and textiles, and running (often with her Elands colleagues). She is the proud owner of a very naughty rabbit who rules the roost at home! She also shares her home with her rescue dog, a poodle cross called Henley!
Karen started working for Elands as part of our reception team in 2005. Before joining us she has worked as a manager for Mothercare for 28 years. Having worked with both children and animals Karen says she definitely prefers animals as they are much less trouble.
Karen shares her home with her two favourite men, Oscar a beautiful tabby cat and her husband Rob.
Lesley has been part of our reception team since February 2008. She can be found dividing her time between both our Dunton Green and Kemsing surgeries. Before Lesley joined Elands she was a regular client with her very lovely westie ‘Pepsi’. Pepsi was a diabetic so needed daily injections to ensure she maintained a normal, healthy life.
Knowing how hard but rewarding it is to own a pet that needs that extra care and attention made Lesley the ideal candidate for our reception team.
Lesley does not currently own any pets but keeps herself busy in her spare time with her sewing, baking and her love of the theatre and music.
Lorraine joined Elands in February 2011. Lorraine is delighted to combine her lifelong love of all animals with her commitment to excellent customer care.
Seen here in her garden with her 2 dogs Jessie the labrador and Teddy the scorkie (scottie cross / yorkie), who keep her busy and entertained.
Angela is a member of our reception team. Before joining us she worked as a senior secretary for a property consultancy in London and now brings her organisational flair and friendly approach to Elands
Angela has a super-spoilt cat called Lucky whom she rescued as a stray more or less at her interview with Elands!
Angela also volunteers as a dog walker at Dunrunnin, part of The Greyhound Trust, a re-homing centre for ex racing greyhounds. She has also previously volunteered at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home at Brands Hatch.
Here she is with one of the gorgeous greyhounds.
