How to Find Us

Video Endoscopy does not just give us the opportunity to look inside various body cavities. With the availability of a range of instrumentation, including the diode laser, it is now possible to carry out a wide range of surgical procedures using minimally invasive techniques. Instead of making a large incision into the skin and underlying muscles, resulting in considerable trauma and prolonged recovery, we are now able to make small 5mm entry ports into the area of interest and perform all the major maneuvers previously done when a large opening was present.

Gas filled cavities such as the thorax or nose or air sacs in birds, are ideal candidates for endoscopy. Abdominal investigation (laparoscopy), requires that the abdomen be inflated with an inert gas (carbon dioxide) to provide a large working space. Fluid also makes an ideal medium for endoscopy - such as in the joint cavity or urogenital tract. A wide variety of endosurgical procedures can now be carried out - and our repertoire is expanding all the time as new techniques and equipment are developed.

Abdomen

Exploration of the abdominal cavity

Ovariectomy

Biopsy of the liver, kidney, pancreas or any abdominal mass.

Resection and ablation of tumours can be carried out using the diode laser.

Resection of lung lobes, bullae or masses.

Nose and sinuses

Removal of foreign bodies

Biopsy of masses

Tumour resection or debulking with the diode laser

Diagnosis and treatment of nasal aspergillosis
