Endoscopy

Endoscopy is more commonly known as “keyhole surgery”. It is a minimally invasive method of surgery that entails using specialised instruments to perform procedures that would otherwise require major surgical intervention.

The endoscope acts as a magnifying camera allowing the surgeon to view the procedure on a high-definition television monitor. This gives the surgeon a much clearer view of the surgical site, and in some cases mean that conditions can be picked up on much earlier than would otherwise be possible.

Patients that undergo endoscopic procedures have much quicker and less traumatic or painful recovery periods compared to those that have undergone similar treatment via a non-endoscopic method.

Elands has a comprehensive range of endoscopic options for treatment, available to both our clients and those referred to us from other practices.
