Ultrasound imaging

We are equipped with a colour doppler ultrasound scanner for cardiac, abdominal or ocular scans, and use this as an integral part of our non-invasive diagnostics,

Ultrasound allows us to image the internal structure of organs such as the liver, enabling us to decide on the best approach for surgery or biopsy. Ultrasound guided biopsy is useful for lesions buried deep within such organs which may not be visible from the surface.

Ultrasound is also a useful screen prior to any invasive endoscopic procedure, and allows us to plan our surgery more thoroughly.

Many parts of the body are inaccessible to the conventional surgeon. Imaging techniques such as radiography and ultrasonography enable us to get some information about internal structures of the body prior to surgery, but have limited application during surgical procedures.
