How to Find Us

Physiotherapy has long been a neglected aspect of veterinary treatment. It has long been the norm for humans to receive post operative physiotherapy or physiotherapy for sports injuries. Indeed we use physiotherapy for a wide variety of common ailments from bad backs to twisted knees. Why then do we neglect this aspect of treatment for our pets?

If you have ever had a bad back yourself you will know that it is not just the underlying lesion such as a prolapsed disc, that caused the pain. Most of the discomfort is due to the associated muscle spasm. By relieving that muscle spasm, much of the pain is dissipated - more effectively than relying on medication, and with less side effects.

Freiderike StenningFriederike Stenning is a fuly qualified human physiotherapist amd has undergone additional training in animal physiotherapy. Initial consultations last about an hour and include the initial treatment. Follow up appointments may be at the clinic or can often be more convenient at your own home.

A wide range of cases may be treated by Friederike, including post operative treatment of orthopaedic cases, treatment of wounds and skin lesions for pain relief and more rapid healing, musculo-skeletal disorders such as arthritis or tendon injuries, and behavioural disorders that may be related to pain or discomfort.

Ring us on 01732 452333 to book an appointment .
