Elands Veterinary Clinic was originally formed in 1986 on the site of Dunton Green Police House. Our aim was to provide the most up-to-date facilities possible, combined with a caring and cost effective service for our patients and clients. The surgery was purpose built with staff accommodation on site and plenty of free parking space. However, with expanding staff, facilities and modern techniques which require additional space, we relocated the clinic a few hundred yards up the road in the spring of 2010. In the summer of 2010 we opened an additional branch surgery in Kemsing. For more details see the "Client area - News" page! The Practice cares for all domestic pets, and has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques. If we expect it for ourselves, we believe we should expect it for our pets too. In addition to our general practice, we offer a referral service to other veterinary practices in endoscopy, ultrasound, dentistry and physiotherapy, and our specialists are also available to treat any of our own clients pets. We also care for some of the more exotic species such as birds of prey, reptiles and injured wildlife. We go to great lengths to ensure the comfort and peace of mind of patients entrusted into our care. We understand the unique place your pet occupies in your family - we are pet owners ourselves. All our patients are treated as we would treat one of our own family, with love, care and respect. We go to great lengths to minimise stress and pain and to that end we are world leaders in minimally invasive techniques that not only greatly reduce pain and stress of surgery, but also provide the surgeon with better visualisation and precision. All patient records are kept on a brand new computer system, which automatically sends out reminders for vaccine boosters etc. by letter, text or email according to your preference - essential for continued good health. Each animal has his or her own record "card" on file which carries details of age, sex, breed etc as well as a full medical history and even a photograph! all available at the touch of a button. We provide cover for all veterinary emergency cases 24 hours a day 365 days a year. We currently work with an independant specialist emergency service, (The Sevenoaks Veterinary Emergency Service) which covers several veterinary practices in the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge area. This service is based at the Pennard Veterinary Group's surgery in Eardley Road, Sevenoaks - so there is never far to travel, and it allows the most efficient treatment of emergencies from a wide area. The emergency phone number to contact the duty Vet remains the same, and in an emergency you should always ring the usual Clinic Phone number (01732 452333) for instructions after hours. Outside office hours you will get a recorded message giving the telephone number of the Veterinary surgeon on duty. Duty Vets carry mobile phones at all times so that you should always be able to speak directly to a veterinary surgeon when necessary.
