karen Leahy

Karen Leahy - Karen also works part time at Elands. Having worked in the city for 17 years, she wanted to do something compeletely different, and her love of animals drew her to Elands! Karen has a keen interest in the arts, and undertakes courses in a wide variety of subjects from silversmithing to textiles. She enjoys travelling and has two house rabbits to keep her on her toes at home.

Karen GouldKaren Gould also works part time at Elands, - and thoroughtly enjoys it! Having worked for the last 28 years for Mothercare, she suddenly decided a change was needed (although some people say "children vs animal...... any difference?")

Karen loves travelling and has visited many countries in the world. Now that she works part-time she hopes to pursue other interests as well. At present Karen has no pets of her own, but working here I am sure it is only a matter of time......

Debbie

Debbie Cooper- works part time on reception and has quickly picked up the ropes. After achieving a degree in archaeology, she worked for the county archaeology unit, on and off, for 20 years (with gaps to have 2 children) before deciding on a complete change of direction.

A lifelong love of animals led her to apply for the position of part time receptionist at Elands, and she was thrilled to be offered the chance to join the team. So far she is loving it!

As well as two teenage daughteres Debbie has quite a menagerie at home, ranging from horses, dogs and cats to rabbits, bantams and a 20 year old cockatiel. "It is my animals that keep me sane"!
